Disability workers, families & advocates rallied outside Minister Lizzie Blandthorn’s office today, demanding urgent action to save SIL funding.

Hundreds of group homes could close, and thousands of workers risk losing their jobs if a $500M subsidy isn’t introduced for the 5 transferred services beyong December 2025.

This isn’t just about funding — it’s about people’s homes, jobs, and lives,” said HACSU Secretary Paul Healey.

The community is standing firm: extend the subsidy, guarantee support, and protect Victoria’s disability workforce.
